The Berlin Am Potsdamer Platz Centre is located on the fifth floor of a modern building in a public square once divided by the Berlin Wall. Following German reunification, Potsdamer Platz became the site of major redevelopment by four corporate investors, including Sony and Daimler. This is now an architecturally impressive and important public square and traffic intersection, near to the Reichstag German parliament building and Cultural Forum, with attractions including the national gallery and philharmonic hall. There are many foreign embassies nearby, and the area is attracting leading corporations. Public transport links were included in the area's redevelopment, and the nearest U-Bahn underground station is directly in front of the building. The centre is close to the Arkedan shopping mall.
