Portland World Trade Center is centrally located in the heart of the city's business district and boasts spectacular 11th-floor views of the Willamette River and Mount Hood and Mount St Helens. Immediate neighbors include financial, legal and professional services companies, but Portland is also home to the US west coast's third largest port, even though it is located about 80 miles upriver. With the largest commercial dry dock in the whole of the country, Portland is the largest shipper of wheat in the US. Many other industries are based here because of the benefits of relatively low energy cost, accessible resources, good freeways links, international airports and intercontinental railroads. The building hosts its own amenities, but a short riverside walk takes you downtown choices for dining, shopping, accommodation and entertainment.
